International Performing Arts Festival PuSh is one of the most anticipated events in Vancouver. It brings the original and extraordinary work of young artists from around the world to Canadian stage. It helps to discover Vancouver as one of the top cosmopolitan places ready for unexpected, fresh ideas in performing arts: theater, dance, and music.
From January 20 till February 8 PuSh featured the brilliant work of talented artists, making the audience laugh, cry, and question.

Little Red River created by Theatre Junction is an attempt to reveal the connection between our memory, experience, and fantasy. It brings to light the mysterious alliance between history, personal recollections, and collective memory. “Every time we remember, we create a new memory of the memory. Memory is always changing. Little Red River seeks out the connections between the experience of the real and the point of view. The trinity of the real, the image, and the fantasy are inextricably linked and superimposed. Any Night created by Dual Minds is a two actor stage play, a romantic thriller about love, and trust, conscious, and subconscious. Two young people caught together in a shared nightmare. Should they trust each other? Should they trust themselves?

The Night Follows Day by Theatre Replacement redefines the performance experience, and questions the basics of parenthood with a cast of 17 performers ages 8-14.
Billy Twinkle. Requiem for a Golden Boy by Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes tells a story about a middle- aged cruise ship puppeteer caught between his past and future. But in fact, “this requiem for a golden boy shines a little light on the wonder of youth meeting the wisdom of age with a kick in the pants to finish what we started”. Live From A Bush of Ghosts by Theatre Conspiracy tells a ghost story for the digital age, with electronic ghosts chasing real people.
The Children’s Choice Awards by research-art atelier Mammalian Diving Reflex presented a unique dialogue between the performers and the audience with a much unexpected twist. The audience, the Students forms Surrey’s Bridgeview Elementary, attended different shows, created the award categories, produced the trophies, and gave the awards out to their favorites.
