EDWIN SCHAAP (The Netherlands)

Edwin Schaap is a 4th year student animator at KW1C’
s Hertogenbosch.
He was born in 1989. Drawing has been one of his
hobbies since early childhood. At the age of 12 he
started to work with 3D Programs. In 2008 his
animation “Robby” got one million viewers at YouTube.
German newspaper Welt Kompakt wrote about Edwin
and his animation “Robby”:
“Everybody knows that Pixar and DreamWorks are
able to create good animations. But also smaller
studios and even a single talented person is able to
generate terrific animated characters and stories…”
Edwin’s animation “Louis the Frog” was created
during his 20 week internship at Ivorm (Tilburg). It
demonstrates professional animation, modeling,
rigging, texturing, in other words everything that
professional 3D designer would use to win the hearts
of his audience.
